Tugce COPUR, PhD, is a member of the academic staff in the Department of Aviation Management at the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. Her graduate studies were completed in the fields of aviation management and management & organisation; her doctoral thesis proposed a capacity-building model for sustainable enterprise risk management at the terminal operation of Antalya Airport (AYT / LTAI).

Prior to her academic appointment she served for six years with Çelebi Ground Handling Inc. in passenger services, flight operations and ramp services, completing industry training in load control, apron safety, dangerous goods and safety management systems.

Her research and teaching cover enterprise risk management, airport and airline management, ground handling, crew resource management and human factors in aviation. Her work appears in international peer-reviewed journals, alongside book chapters and editorial work in the field.

Customer Relationship Management

Covers the management of customer relations, service quality and passenger satisfaction in aviation businesses.

Diction and Announcements

Combines the correct use of the voice with the management of announcements as a service process in aviation.

Effective Public Speaking

Aims to develop public speaking, presentation and oral communication skills.

Human Factors in Aviation

Examines the physiological, psychological and organisational factors affecting human performance in aviation.

Ramp Operations

Covers ground handling processes carried out on the apron, safety rules around the aircraft and the use of ramp equipment.

Examines the economic structure of air transport, its market dynamics and its regulatory framework.

Airline Networks

Compares airline network structures, including the hub-and-spoke and point-to-point models.

Airport Management

Covers the operating structure of airports, terminal and airside processes and revenue streams.

Apron Management

Covers the planning of the apron area, the allocation of parking stands and the management of ground vehicle traffic.

Addresses the stages of crisis and emergency management in aviation and the communication and coordination processes they require.

Graduation Project

A capstone course in which students research a topic of their own choice in aviation management using academic methods.

Covers advanced topics in ground handling, the structure of service providers and the principles of licensing.

Human Factors in Aviation

Examines the physiological, psychological and organisational factors affecting human performance in aviation.

Introduction to Civil Aviation

Introduces the historical development of civil aviation, its international organisations and the actors in the industry.

Management Information Systems

Examines the role of information systems in supporting management decisions in organisations.

Aviation Fundamentals and Terminology

Introduces the basic concepts and institutions of civil aviation and the terminology shared across the industry.

Crew Planning and Resource Management

Covers the planning and assignment of flight and cabin crews in airlines together with the rules governing duty and rest periods.

Addresses the effects of irregular working hours and flight conditions on daily routine.

Covers the passenger service processes carried out in the cabin, from pre-flight preparation to after landing.

A practice-based course in which the operational situations encountered in cabin and ground operations are worked through.

Organisation and Responsibilities in Airlines

Addresses the job definitions of the departments in airline companies and their lines of authority and responsibility.
